MALCO QHT1 TurboXTools™ Quarter Panel Hemming Drill Attachment
MALCO QHT1 TurboXTools™ Quarter Panel Hemming Drill Attachment
Bend and close wheel arc flanges of replacement quarter panels with the power assistance of your cordless drill or impact driver. The TurboXTool Quarter Panel Hemming Attachment QHT1 offers maximum portability on the job. A telescoping clamp adjusts to fit both length and width of the drill housing for easy one-hand o-eration. Optional spacers are stored on clamp for large motor housings. The clamp collar allows the shear head to be rotated 360° and set in any position for optimum tool clearance. This hemming TurboXTool replicates a hammer and dolly motion at high speed, with greater precision, less fatigue and faster results. Up to 80% faster based on field trials! The user can quickly hem replacement quarter panels on late model cars with a range of wheel arc flange widths up to 3/4 inch (19.05 mm). A rubber cushioned anvil protects the quarter panel from scratches and scuffs and allows the anvil and stop pegs to be aligned along the finished side of the wheel arc flange while the hammer head works from the backside. A rounded “bull nose” hammer face is used on the initial pass to quickly roll over the flange edge. A change out to the Flat Face side of the hammer head is used to close and seal the flange in one easy pass. The anvil and working hammer may be cleaned of any adhesive residue, resulting from the hemming operation, by using a common solvent. The long-wearing anvil and hammer are replaceable and easily installed on the job.
